HEALTH, SAFETY, & INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE SERVICES

LTE's health and safety services include: 

 

Health and Safety

Plans and Programs: LTE will assess, prepare, implement, and manage written health and safety programs and safety training procedures in order to comply with federal, state, local, and industry-specific health and safety regulations and requirements. This includes those regulations that are required during normal business operations and those that become effective in emergency situations. This also includes industry-specific requirements, such as SafeLand for the oil and gas industry. LTE also provides specific training to company employees to meet the plans and programs established.

 

Process Safety Management: LTE will assess, prepare, implement, and update written Process Safety  Management (PSM) plans. This includes coordinating with engineering, construction, and operations to ensure that new and acquired facilities meet the requirements outlined in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) PSM standard. This also includes conducting outside third party PSM audits or participating on internal PSM audit teams. Lastly, this includes preparing and updating the components of PSM, such as Process Hazard Assessments, Mechanical Integrity Programs, and Management of Change Programs.

Industrial Hygiene Services

 

LTE can provide industrial hygiene assessment and sampling services to evaluate potential compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. These services include the evaluation of potential employee exposure hazards and levels of employee exposure to chemicals, metals, dust, and noise. Additionally, LTE can provide inspection and design services for asbestos- and lead-containing building materials and soils.

Department of Transportation Regulations

Federal  Motor Carrier Safety Administration: LTE will prepare, implement, and update written commercial motor carrier programs per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. This includes auditing existing company or facility programs for compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements for driver qualifications, vehicle inspection, maintenance and repair, and daily trip requirements for driver logs and vehicle inspections. This also includes the requirements necessary for hazardous materials transportation, including appropriate personnel training.

 

Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration: LTE will review, audit and aid companies to determine the applicability and level of compliance with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) requirements. This includes determining if pipelines, flow lines and gathering lines are jurisdictionally covered by PHMSA, what plans and programs are required if they are covered, and what appropriate personnel training is required. This also includes regulation of hazardous material transportation requirements for shippers, such as, registration and personnel training requirements.

Insurance Carrier Requirements: LTE will review programs, plans, and facilities with respect to the requirements of the insurance industry in order to maximize risk management while finding the most efficient coverage options. This includes evaluating facilities to determine risk management gaps that can be fixed to obtain better premiums.
